HTC Edge will be based on NVIDIA Tegra 3

HTC is preparing to debut next flagship smartphone called “Edge”. The device will be one of the world’s first NVIDIA Tegra 3 (AP30), which has four cores that run at 1.5GHz.

Despite the fact that the official premiere of Edge is expected no earlier than next year (most likely it will happen at the annual Mobile World Congress 2012 in Barcelona), they already provide detailed specifications of the device. Like its predecessor Rezound (Vigor), Edge will get 1 GB of RAM, supports Beats Audio and has 8 megapixel camera. Comparing with Vigor its display is bigger with size of 4.7 inches and a better Bluetooth 4.0 adaptor. Its internal memory went up to 32 GB, however, there might be a 16 GB version.

We assume that HTC Edge may be the first smartphone that will have Sense 4.0 UI version. As for the operating system, it will most likely be Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.HTC-Edge
