“iPhone 5” ranked as 6th fastest rising Google Search of 2011

Google just released it’s latest version of trend’s in 2011. The site which can be viewed here. It highlights some of the top searches of 2011. The iPhone 5 which has not yet been released came in 5th with Apple also coming in the top 10 three other times.  “Steve Jobs” came in 9th and the “iPad 2” came in 10th. This is not the first year though this has happened. Apple products usually come in the top ten every year. Why am I not suprised.

Google noted that searches for the iPhone 5 rose 1,658% between 2010 and 2011. The peak result came in the 25th week of September, Just after Apple’s Let’s talk iPhone event.

At the event Apple released the iPhone 4s and not the highly rumoured iPhone 5.  The iPad 3 came in tenth in the Fastest Rising Consumer Electronics list which is global. Let us know in the comments what you think the top searches for next year will be.
