Product Description

In case some of you missed the announcement, the GALAXY Note 8.0 is Samsung‘s latest tablet for 2013. It sports a 1.6 GHZ Cortex A9 Quad Core Processor, has an 8 inch TFT display with a resolution of 1280 x 800, giving it a pixel density of 189 ppi. The tablet also comes with Google’s Android 4.1.2 operating system right out of the box as well as Samsung’s TouchWiz UI as an overlay. The tablet has a 1.3 MP front facing camera and a 5 MP rear facing camera. As soon you can see in the picture above the tablet comes with the S Pen.

The S Pen experience has been greatly improved with the GALAXY Note 8.0 giving you the ease of using a traditional pen and paper with speed, efficiency and accuracy. Features include a suite of S Note templates and tools that allow you to create, edit, manage and share documents, as well as seamless multi-tasking thanks to Quick Command, continuous text input and Multi-Window View which means the portable 8” screen can be split and used to access a number of live applications at the same time. The Note 8.0 comes equipped with 2 GB of ram to handle intense processes like games or playing back high definition content and all this is powered by a rather huge 4600 mAH battery.

  • Nice article! I am looking forward to try this tablet very soon. -T4G-

  • Nice one Purav! I’d struggle to leave the ipad at the moment, but this is definitely one of the more tempting Android tablets.

    • Ipads are great, but for the price, they lack a lot of potential. Each to their own though. Also, I find the android tabs are more practacle, I mean, I wouldn’t carry a large pad around with me all day.

  • Great Article mate! Looks a great tablet, with good accessories 🙂

  • I saw this at Gadget Show live, they said that the ‘Phone’ Version will be releasing soon. They also had this on sale there! The price is a bit much in my opinion: :/ tablets suc as the ipad mini and nexus are in the 200-300 price range. Overall a great article Purav! However im not feeling they accessories of the design of the Note 8.0 bit ugly.

  • Brilliant Article, told me the ins and out of which I wanted to know. Gave me some good info for accessories and to be honest, the product its self looks amazing.

Great article Purav, If i didn’t have a Nexus 7 I’d definitely purchase this tablet. It’s spec’s are great and some of the accessories you’ve mentioned definitely compliment the tablet and increase the different ways you can use it.

  • Great mini article PD. I personally think this is a wasted effort from Samsung. Mainly due to the fact that the Nexus 7 (2) will be released mid this year and the fact that the Note 8.0’s specs are very disappointing when you take in to account all of the 1080p smartphones that are being released in this day and age. Also the screen is not Samsung’s best at all, it is a cheap screen that you only see on budget devices and its not AMOLED. I would personally buy the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 smartphone instead of this. The screen, processor and overall specs are much better than the Note 8.0. It will cost a bit more money but it will be well worth it because not only will it always be with you but it will also serve an additional purpose as a phone.

Great summary of the specs PD. I would of liked to hear some of your opinions on it though, that is the only negative. Keep up the great work bro.

Great article dude. If I were to invest into tablets, I would consider looking at either the Nexus 7 or Galaxy Note 10.1.
