Facebook now has a dedicated Messenger website!

I was just browsing the Facebook site and talking on Facebook chat with my friend Ayo when all of a sudden the page refreshed itself but it loaded something different.

It took me to messenger.com and asked me if I wanted to “Switch to Purav D….” like it does on the mobile Messenger app.

Within seconds, I was brought to http://www.messenger.com

So far the experience seems to be just like the mobile version, albeit more roomy and easier to see since it’s catered for a larger screen. It will be interesting to see if eventually Facebook forces users to use the Messenger website like they do with the app.

Have you tried out http://messenger.com yet ? Let us know your thoughts below!
